The Tree Surgeon
I work at height, in tough conditions, doing the kind of tree work most people won’t touch - and I love it.
After 6 years in the Parachute Regiment, I knew I wanted to work outdoors. I did land and wildlife management around Yorkshire and the Highlands of Scotland, but when I found tree climbing, that was it. I knew I’d found my thing.
For over 10 years I’ve been climbing trees across Yorkshire - taking down big trees, tackling awkward removals, and subcontracting for other crews who need a solid climber they can rely on. No fuss, no drama - just honest, skilled work done right.
This year, I rebranded from Birch Tree Services to Honey Badger Tree Services. New name, same values: strength, honesty, and showing up - no matter how hard the climb. Life’s good, the business is strong, and I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
I’ll be honest, I’ve never been much of a builder - but I’m damn good at taking things down.
