WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

“Honey Badger Tree Services made the job of removing my problem tree so easy and straight forward. The tree's location and proximity to neighbouring property made the job very awkward and there was little room to work. The service I received was prompt, the communication over logistics excellent and they took care of everything. Nothing else in the garden was disturbed and the clean up afterwards was impressive. I am delighted with their work, look forward to using them again and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering tree work.”

Elizabeth Thompson

I highly recommend Honey Badger Tree Services. They are extremely efficient , very helpful and they leave everything clean and tidy !

Sue Tenant

“I got them in to help with dismantling a huge Wellingtonia tree. Hard working, did a great job and left a tidy site.
Highly recommended.”

Tom Hollingworth, Arbores Tree Services

“Ru is a true tree specialist, whose in depth knowledge is complimented by a fast hard work ethic and a can do attitude. I’m so glad I found him. I can very highly recommend.”

Ged Quinn

“We recently had 14 large conifer bushes cut down by Ru, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Even the neighbours have commented on what a great job he has done!! From start to finish, the service was incredibly professional and efficient. Ru was very knowledgeable and communicated clearly, especially regarding safety measures, which were always a top priority. He made sure to clearly mark off any inaccessible areas while the work was underway. Once the job was done, the clean-up was flawless. Not a twig, leaf, or rogue branch in sight. You wouldn’t believe there were ever 14 massive conifers there.”

  • Do you work with other tree surgeons?
Yes - I’m often subcontracted by other professionals for specialist climbing work. If you're a tree surgeon needing a climber, get in touch.
  • What areas do you cover?
I'm based in Yorkshire and cover the surrounding region. If you're unsure, just drop me a message.
  • Are you insured and qualified?
Absolutely. I hold the necessary climbing, pruning, rigging and chainsaw certifications, and I’m fully insured for all work carried out.
  • Do you offer free quotes?
Yes - quotes and honest advice are always free, no pressure and no hard sell.
  • Do you take everything away after the job?
Yes. I offer full clear-up and removal if needed, or I can leave wood/chippings on-site if you'd prefer to use them.
  • Can I trust you with a difficult or dangerous job?
That’s exactly what I do. With 10+ years of experience and a reputation built on trust, I take on the complex jobs others avoid - and do them right.
  • What’s the best way to contact you?
You can call, text, or use the contact form. If I’m up a tree, I’ll get back to you as soon as I’m back on the ground.
  • How soon can you book me in?
It depends on the time of year and the job size, but I’ll always try to fit you in quickly.
  • What happens if it’s bad weather?
For safety, some jobs may be rescheduled due to high winds or storms - I’ll always keep you updated and work flexibly around the conditions.
  • Can I be home during the work?
Of course. You’re welcome to be around or leave me to it - I work respectfully and keep disruption to a minimum.
  • Do you take safety seriously?
Always. I’m a professional climber with military discipline and arborist training. I work to high safety standards and take no unnecessary risks.
  • Can I keep the logs or woodchip?
Yes! If you’d like to use the wood or chippings in your garden or for firewood, just let me know and I’ll leave them stacked neatly.
  • What happens if I’m in a conservation area?
Any and all tree work in a conservation area will have to be applied for, it’s best to check before hand if you are in a conservation area, accept if the tree is dead, dying, dangerous or diseased, then you don’t require permission. Check with your local counsel.
  • Can I cut back my neighbours tree branches that are overhanging into my garden?
Yes, you can. Legally you absolutely can, but it is always beneficial to have a chat and let your neighbour know of your intentions as trees can be a touchy subject!
  • Can I cut my hedges during bird nesting season?
The answer is yes, if, we inspect the hedge before hand to ensure there are no birds nests inside. If we do find one, it is against the law to disrupt or disturb so the job will have to wait until the season is over. The season usually runs from March - August so preferably get in touch before spring, or after Summer if you think you have nesting birds.
